Thirty Days of Thanks!

We will be celebrating Thanksgiving next week. Here is a creative way to let the people in your life know that you appreciate them. Many people do the thirty days of thanks on facebook, but here is a new idea. Why don't you send a card to someone every day and tell them how thankful you are that they are in your life. What a great way to be an encouragement to someone this Thanksgiving season!

Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings

We all need recipes that are easy for those busy days! This recipe is perfect for you busy Mom's. It's a meal that you can easily put in the crock pot before you head out the door in the morning.

Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings:
INGREDIENTS:
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast
halves
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream
of chicken soup
1 onion, finely diced
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated
biscuit dough, torn into pieces

DIRECTIONS:
1.Place the chicken, butter, soup, and onion in a slow cooker, and fill with enough water to cover.
2.Cover, and cook for 5 to 6 hours on High. About 30 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

Here is the link to the recipe. There is a short video that you can watch on how to make it. They suggest that you use low sodium chicken broth instead of water. Also, you can throw in a mixed bag of veggies if you want to spice it up! Happy Cooking!
